  A big and hearty greeting to all our brothers and sisters of our Local 1562 at Kingston NY.

I would like to express my gratitude to each and every one of you that voted for me at this year's elections. I-of course, respect the decision of those of you who did not vote for me and can only hope to win your support and trust during my term.

As president and grievance member, I want you to know that it is my sincere desire to serve my fellow Union family members to the best of my ability. I am currently in the process of getting more acquainted with the contract, constitution, and bylaws for our local as well as Alcoa's business plans, purposes and dealings with its employees around the world; please bear with me during this transitional period.

I will try to keep you posted on a regular basis.

 I was asked to fill this position  after a problem with the previous financial secretary arose.

 I would like to see more members of the local become more involved instead of the same people time and  again.
